Short description
Someone is erasing the world's words. In The Last Lexicon, a fully voiced word-spell adventure for iOS and Android, you spell words and their meaning becomes magic: fire words burn, wall words shield, healing words mend. Travel ten painted realms with a brass raven and a paper sprite, and light the ten lamps.
Long description
At Lumenfall's Festival of First Light, the tenth lamp turned black and black snow began to fall. By morning the Black Index had come to the city, taking its books, its signs and its questions, and calling it "keeping". Aren, a young scholar, is handed the Book of Ten Lamps by his godmother Maeve: a blank book that writes a new chapter only when a realm freely agrees to share what it knows.
The Last Lexicon is a story adventure where every word you spell becomes magic. Its meaning picks one of ten schools (Flame, Frost, Storm, Light, Ward, Mend, Echo, Wild, Mind and Wing, with Ink for every other word), and longer words hit harder. Spell EMBER and fire answers. Spell SHIELD and a ward rises.
Two hundred story stages cross ten realms, from a clockwork city and a drowned archive to a carnival where feelings are painted over, each ruled by someone who let the Index in. Every line is voiced. Quill the brass raven, Nima the margin sprite and Maeve travel with Aren; lose a duel and a friend steps in with a tip, win and hear what the villain really wanted. Win charms from realm rulers, brew draughts at camp and buy spell ranks with Lamp Shards, then take on every villain you've beaten in the Arena.
The Last Lexicon plays offline, with no ads, no accounts and no data collection. The first two realms are free; one purchase, The Full Book, opens the rest of the story.
